What makes a good Gold Mobile Number?
You can relate the grade
names
of mobile numbers to the price bands of bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
Generally, Gold Numbers and Platinum Numbers are the
most popular.
A Gold Number is more desirable than an average mobile phone number because of its simple and
clear number combination. Not only is this a great benefit for you, your family and friends to remember, but it's
also impressive for business colleagues. Gold Numbers make good business
sense when used in advertising as it raises the profile of your company or service and helps customers to reach you
easily.
Obviously, every mobile phone number is totally unique - that's how phone calls
reach the right person ;-) but it is helpful to understand why the exclusive numbers available to purchase on the
mobile number websites can vary so much in price. Understanding more about the various number combinations can help
you in your search for the perfect Gold Mobile Number. After all, it can become your contact
number for life, so it's worth getting it right.
How are Gold Numbers valued?
Assessing the value of a Gold Mobile Number is not quite as sraight forward as
assessing the value of a Platinum Number, because they do not have the obvious distinction of lots of repeat
digits, like the 111111 Platinum example. The high end Gold Numbers can have up up to four or even 5 repeat digits,
e.g. 07*** 622222 and again, if there were numbers 6 and/or 2 in the prefix, it would increase its value further.
Usually, Gold Numbers deal with the last six digits for their patterns.
Personal preference on format, or style of number is something only you can
decide. If you are planning to use the number for business advertising, look at the number from a visual aspect; is
it clear when you see it in type? Repeat pairs of numbers work well, as they can be seperated and made easier to
remember, as in 07*** 20 30 40 or 01 02 03
Alternatively, if the number is for personal use, ensure it is easy to say out
load. When you are considering buying a number try saying it out load so you can test if it is an easy number to
get your tongue around! Think about how you would phrase it:- double six, double four, double two for example, or
triple three triple eight. Discover what is most comfortable for you to say.
Look for patterns within the Gold Number, the clearer the sequence, the
more valuable it is. A consecutive number sequence would be 123456, which, being the beginning of the numbers of
one to nine, would be of higher value than say, 345678. Also, they can be backwards, like 987654. Reverse sequences
are not as high in value as a forward sequence, but they are all obvious patterns, which makes them clear and easy
to remember.
Double digits are very clear mobile numbers and are easy to say, but when looking
at the value of these numbers you need to also look at the patterns and sequences. Obvioulsy, 22 55 88 would not be
as valuable as say 22 33 44 because
this number not only has double digits, but they go up in number sequence: 2,3,4.
10 20 30 would be better than 20 50 80. Using these methods you can quickly see why a
number would be of greater value, and spot a bargain when you come across it.
Before purchasing a gold number: If you are on contract, call your network to
check your current contract and ensure they will allow you to port a new number onto your account. 99.9% of the
time it will not be a problem, but it is wise to check with them before purchasing the new Gold
Number.
